Rowena

I have been a yoga practitioner since 2005. I love the heat so when introduced to bikram yoga, I was hooked. After a couple of years I started to experiment with various styles of yoga, mainly power vinyasa.  In 2009, I started to learn how to meditate and was amazed at how beneficial it was to me mentally.

In 2013, I completed my teacher training with the Australian Yoga Academy and commenced teaching in 2014.  

Yoga continues to teach me so much about myself which is why I am passionate about helping others discover its immense benefits. 

Other things about me: 
I love my family, pottery and champagne. 
My favourite yoga pose is Crow pose…who am I kidding, it's Savasana.

Our Senior Yogi - Rachel brings passion, a wealth of knowledge, love and dedication to our studio and her practise. After a challenging experience with my first labour and birth I decided to really educate and commit to a regular prenatal yoga practice. After experiencing firsthand the difference between a ‘yoga’ pregnancy and a non yoga pregnancy I realised just how big an impact yoga can make during this time. It ignited a passion within me to learn as much as I could about this specialised area so I then went on to study 200 hours Registered Yoga Teacher (200RYT) training in Family Yoga with Samadhi Yoga NZ then completed 100 hours of Registered Yoga Pre and Postnatal Teacher training (100RYPT) with Bliss Baby Yoga in Byron Bay. I am also a qualified Vinyasa teacher after completing my Registered Yoga Teacher training (200RYT) at Moksha Academy of Yoga in Melbourne and... A qualified Doula! When I’m not teaching you’ll find me at a live gig, drinking coffee, hanging out with my family or training for some crazy endurance event. Rachel specialises in Pre & Post Natal Yoga, Mums and Bubs Yoga, Vinyasa, YIN and Slow Flow her classes are definitely not to be missed as her calming nature will empower anyone.

Annika has an extensive background in dance, she has been dancing all her life starting as a tiny tot in country Victoria before finding her way to Melbourne to start training in performing arts at Patrick Studios Australia and then to go onto her teaching studies at Dance Factory. Injury rehabilitation introduced Annika to pilates and she found the benefits were endless in both her dance training and overall health and wellbeing. Annika has been at the barre for many years now and loves the way it incorporates cardio, strength and stretch into an energy filled workout. Annika decided months before completing her dance teaching studies to become qualified as a barre and pilates instructor. Annika loves to see people reach goals at the barre and on the mat both physically and mentally with the belief pilates and barre can help bring fuel to a more healthy and holistic lifestyle. 

JESS

I am a mum of two young munchkins – no-one on earth has taught me more! 

The two sayings that I tend to live by are ‘kindness doesn’t cost a thing’ and ‘let food be thy medicine’.  Yoga is a part of my everyday life and I love that it continues to teach me more and more each time I step onto my mat. I stepped onto my yoga mat over a decade ago and have not stepped off since! My background is in Psychology and Psychophysiology, however after experiencing the physical, mental and spiritual benefits of yoga I decided to pursue my passion and completed my yoga teacher training at the Australian Yoga Academy.

I feel that Yoga really has the capacity to bring people together and develop beautiful local communities of like-minded people. I believe this is so important in today’s world and I try to help foster this community focus in my classes.

Complete with a Bachelor of Education specialising in Physical Education and Outdoor Education with over 10+ years experience in all school age levels, Chris is simply a BIG kid at heart. He comes into the Love Your Soul team not only as part owner but also a strong and passionate love of letting children be who they want to be, fostering self confidence, public speaking and being able to disconnect and relax after all the excess energy has been burnt off. Chris will be heading up our school age Kids Space incorporating Yoga poses with his education background.

Chris is also a qualified Pilates instructor teaching, Pilates Mat, Power Pilates and our new MENS ONLY PILATES.

Chris is also a qualified Personal Trainer and Athletes coach, so when his not in the studio his out with your run groups, Its safe to say you'll never have a problem finding him!
